Terms of service
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Beep (“Beep”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the Beep app, the beeppager.com website, and Beep email addresses and phone numbers (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, including by sending a page, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Beep is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for 911 or other emergency services. Pages can be delayed or missed, for example if a phone is off, out of signal, or has notifications turned off. In an emergency, call 911.
The Service
Beep gives you private ways to be reached, such as a Beep email address and a paging code for Beep phone numbers. When someone sends a page, we alert your phone, repeating the alert until you acknowledge it or the alert limit is reached. Beep is currently in testing, and features may change, be limited, or stop working without notice.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Give accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Beep alerts one phone per account. Signing in on a new phone moves your pages to it.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten or spam anyone, or send pages someone hasn't agreed to receive.
- Send false emergency pages, or pretend to be someone else.
- Send unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Interfere with, overload, or try to get unauthorized access to the Service.
We may limit, block or suspend senders and accounts that break these rules.
SMS terms
Program: Beep paging. Texting a Beep number delivers your message as a page to the Beep user whose code you include, or to the user a dedicated Beep number belongs to.
- Consent: by texting a Beep number, you agree to receive text messages from that number about your page, such as a delivery confirmation. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Frequency: message frequency varies, and depends on how many pages you send.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply. Beep does not charge senders.
- Opt out: reply STOP to stop receiving texts from that Beep number. You'll receive one confirmation. Reply START to resume.
- Help: reply HELP, or email support@beeppager.com.
- Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: we use your number only to deliver and respond to your page. We never sell it or share it for marketing. See the privacy policy.
Your content
You keep ownership of the messages you send and receive. You give Beep permission to store, process and deliver them as needed to run the Service.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that pages will be delivered, delivered on time, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Beep is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss resulting from a page that is delayed, missed or not delivered. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
Ending your use
You can stop using Beep and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the Service.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
